Abstract

Introduction. This article on coping strategies for the stress of relapse to drug use is based on an analysis carried out on a population of 6 adolescents who are in a situation of substance use. Its stage of change allows in this way to obtain an approximation of those protection factors that must be potentiated before a rehabilitation treatment before this socioeconomic phenomenon. In the same way, the coping scale in adolescents allows us to know vulnerability approximations that can potentiate adolescents undergoing rehabilitation to relapse into drug use again. Aim. Theoretical approach as a starting point for a rehabilitation model based on adolescents' coping with the stress caused by relapse to drug use. Materials and methods. The test used is the Adolescent Coping Scale proposed by Frydenberg, E. and Lewis, R. Results. The results obtained show that the adolescents surveyed, who are in rehabilitation for drug use, face the problem situation with the guidance and intervention of society. Another result to highlight in the lack or non-coping indicated by adolescents, a situation that leads them to a state of vulnerability, where emphasis should be placed on therapeutic intervention. Conclusion. A theoretical approach to coping by adolescents in the face of a phenomenological situation would allow a personalized intervention model based on the potentialization of protection factors and vulnerability reduction.
