Knowledge level abour the causes that influence in abortion in adolescents

Abstract

Introduction: Currently, 1 million girls under 15 have pregnancy complications and about 3 million undergo abortions. Objective: To determine the knowledge level about the causes that influence abortion in  adolescents. Materials and Methods: The quantitative approach was used as methodology, with a non-experimental study design, cross-sectional with descriptive level. Results: There is ignorance about the abortion risks in adolescents, because only 48 of 88 people surveyed opted for termination of pregnancy (55%). Conclusions: lack of knowledge greatly influences abortions in adolescents. The adolescents surveyed recognize that the main cause of abortion is due to an economic deficit to feed their child and fear of rejection.
