Abstract

Introduction: The prevalence and incidence of oral diseases at the world is so high and affects the individual with pain, suffering, low self-esteem, loss of functional capacity, among others. These conditions occur from the first stages of life and in many cases leave indelible sequels that significantly reduce opportunities for adequate social, labor, and economic development and the quality of general life of individuals. Objective: Collect information about the Perception, Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices on Oral Health. A study of Revision. Materials and methods: The research developed is a descriptive bibliographic review, where the compilation, analysis and interpretation of the information collected was carried out; as well as, the description of the information with a written record. Results: Faced with this situation, health education presents health guidelines, as well as the implementation of routines that generate healthy habits to care for oral health from the womb with care programs during pregnancy, childhood and adulthood of the individual. Conclusions: It is a primary factor to educate for the adoption of healthy habits; So as it is important for obtaining systemic and oral health. Besides that, in the In early childhood, the establishment of beneficial or normal habits begins, which They can persist throughout the life of the individual. Undoubtedly the doctor has a fundamental role in the first guidelines on oral health, as well as throughout the entire stage of life.
