Introduction: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is considered one of the non-communicable diseases that present a high rate of morbidity and mortality at the worldwide, is an irreversible public health problem that has persisted throughout history. history, where the kidneys present an affectation and being the ones in charge of filtering the waste from the blood and normalize certain functions of the body such as: remove excess fluids, waste products, minerals, and hormone production; it is Renal replacement therapy is necessary to compensate for these functions. Goal: Validate the instrument to establish the factors that affect the choice of the initial dialysis modality. Materials and methods: It is a quantitative research qualitative, prospective, field, cross-sectional descriptive analytical type. The population is represented by 260 patients with chronic renal failure who are perform their dialysis treatment at the Serdidyv S.A. clinic. The total sample was 18 patients for the pilot plan. Two instruments are used, a survey to identify the factors that influenced the choice of dialysis therapy and an interview to get to know the patient's opinion about each of the dialytic therapies existing. Results: According to the validation of the experts, both instruments they were very reliable to measure the study variable. According to the pilot plan obtained that in 11.1% of the respondents, the doctor finally assigned the therapy to realize. Conclusion: The instruments are valid and reliable to measure the factors that affect the choice of dialysis modality.
