Language development in patients with congenital brain disorders

Introduction: Language development is a process that begins from the moment of birth, but when congenital brain abnormalities occur, a form of communication with the child must be created. Objective: to inquire about some of the strategies proposed for the development of language in patients with congenital brain disorders and the way to carry out their execution efficiently and effectively. Materials and methods: The methodology applied in the study is based on a positivist paradigm with a qualitative approach, research with a descriptive level, documentary design, supported by specialized bibliographic review. Result: it was obtained that even when there are strategies that have had positive results in language development in children with congenital brain disorders, it is necessary to continue improving this type of practice. Conclusion: language development is a process that begins from the moment of birth, even when there are congenital brain disorders in the child, the mother or her caregiver must create a form of communication with the child.
