Introduction: intrafamily violence is a collective problem that is impregnated in multiple homes, which causes personal and social consequences that affect the full development of the adolescent. Objective: To validate the instruments that will make it possible to establish the predisposing, determinant and triggering factors that influence intrafamily violence in adolescents. Method: This is a field study, prospective, cross-sectional, correlational type. The type of sampling is stratified random probabilistic that includes 90 adolescents between 12 and 18 years old who are part of the educational system, coming from the "6 de Septiembre" community of the Balzar canton. The survey and the questionnaire called "Family coexistence and a structured interview" are used as a technique. The instruments were validated by expert judgment and the application of statistics with the Cronbach's alpha formula as applicable. Results: The reliability score obtained by the judges in the quantitative instrument is 86.63, the reliability of the instrument is 92.22 and in the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 program a Cronbach's alpha score of 0.762 is obtained, equivalent to Acceptable. Conclusions: The validation by the expert judgment of the instrument has an acceptable reliability in its context and managed to raise the expected information for the investigation.
