Editorial team

Más Vita is an institutional scientific journal belonging to the educational product group of the Venezuelan Civil Association of Social Research for Humanity (ACVENISPROH). This publication arises from the convergence of a group of researchers, teachers, and students in Venezuela, who join their talents to create a space that contributes to professional and academic growth collectively.

The editorial team of Más Vita consists of professionals who collaborate daily with ACVENISPROH. It is structured by an Executive Council and a Scientific Council. The Executive Council includes people in charge of management and decision-making functions, both strategic and operational, while the Scientific Council comprises those responsible for advising and validating articles according to the editorial line. Additionally, there is a technical committee responsible for the proper functioning of the web portal and managing all information or resource requests in accordance with the work dynamics.

Reviewers

The journal's peer review process is carried out by two external reviewers from countries other than the journal's publishing country, Venezuela. In situations where a consensus is not reached, a third reviewer is called. It is noteworthy that, under these circumstances, the final decision regarding publication rests with the journal's editor-in-chief. The reviewers, suggested by the Scientific Committee, play significant roles in ensuring the integrity of the peer review process, which includes:

  • Ensuring an impartial peer review, as well as the scientific quality and rigor in the evaluation of the articles.
  • Strictly adhering to the evaluation procedure established by the journal.
  • Preserving the confidentiality of all aspects related to the evaluation of the articles.
  • Maintaining objectivity in their evaluations, providing constructive arguments that guide the authors in improving their manuscripts.
  • Meeting the established deadlines for evaluations.
  • Conducting meticulous evaluations, taking into consideration the relevant theoretical and methodological aspects.
  • Verifying the absence of plagiarism. Although the Editorial Team conducts a preliminary verification using tools like Turnitin from Crossref, it is expected that the reviewers perform their own checks.
  • Declaring potential conflicts of interest upon receiving the article.
  • Avoiding the use of information, data, or ideas obtained from the manuscript for personal benefit.
  • Suggesting the inclusion of relevant and pertinent references to the subject matter not cited by the authors.
  • Refraining from using the manuscript's information for the benefit of their personal research.
  • Contributing significantly to editorial decisions.

It is worth noting the collaboration of associated reviewers or those recommended by researchers from the Galileo Ecuador International Research Network (REDIIGEC), which has more than three hundred members from 13 Ibero-American countries.
