La toma de decisiones efectiva constituye una habilidad cardinal para el éxito en la vida personal y profesional. Este ensayo aborda la complejidad de este proceso, analizando los factores clave que contribuyen a su efectividad desde una perspectiva interdisciplinaria, con el fin de proponer un modelo de decisión inteligente. La exploración se basa en una exhaustiva revisión bibliográfica y la síntesis de hallazgos empíricos. Los resultados evidencian la influencia significativa de factores cognitivos, emocionales, contextuales y sociales. Se propone un modelo teórico interdisciplinario que integra estas variables para una comprensión holística. Los hallazgos resaltan la importancia de los factores clave y el contexto en la toma de decisiones efectiva, ofreciendo una valiosa contribución teórica y práctica con implicaciones para la psicología, la administración y las políticas públicas, y se sugieren vías para futuras investigaciones y la mejora de las habilidades decisorias.
