Microentrepreneurship plays a central role in the economic dynamics of territories characterized by informality and limited employment opportunities, making it essential to understand the socioeconomic factors that influence its development and sustainability. This study examines these factors in La Concordia through a systematic documentary review that integrates relevant research produced in Latin America and Ecuador. Academic publications, institutional reports and case studies were compiled and analyzed using a structured process of search, selection and thematic coding that allowed the identification of recurrent patterns. The results indicate that human capital, economic capital, social capital, territorial conditions, administrative management and innovation operate as an interdependent system that shapes the viability of microentrepreneurship. The discussion interprets these findings in light of previous research and shows that sustainability depends on the articulation between individual capacities, available resources and structural conditions. The study concludes with the proposal of a conceptual model that synthesizes the interaction among the identified factors and provides a useful theoretical framework to guide future analysis and strengthening strategies for microentrepreneurship in similar local contexts.
