This study presents a systematic review aimed at analyzing the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on academic tutoring systems, emphasizing its impact on student learning and the efficiency of educational processes. The PRISMA methodology was applied to ensure transparency and rigor in the selection, evaluation, and synthesis of scientific literature. The search was conducted in the Scopus database, considering English-language publications from 2020 to 2025. Out of the 88 initially identified articles, 23 studies met the established inclusion criteria. The results show that AI has transformed tutoring environments by promoting personalized learning, immediate feedback, and academic performance optimization. However, challenges remain regarding algorithmic bias, technological integration, and teacher training. In conclusion, AI has a transformative potential within academic tutoring systems, emerging as a key tool for personalized teaching, enhanced student performance, and educational innovation.
