Abstract

This work is part of the international programs oriented to study Scientific Research in its multiple facets, including the organizational one, aimed at explaining the factors that shape the management of Research Centers. In order to achieve this goal, the objective is to determine the performance factors of an educational research center. The epistemological and methodological orientation of this study was rationalistic. Based on the Variability Model Theory of Educational Research and the Theory of Research as Organization, the study is inscribed in the Teaching/Learning Line of Research of the Simón Rodríguez University. As a result, the theoretical vision of the MVEI model was obtained, which establishes the basis for the management of educational research centers and the other theoretical aspect of the present study, which is the Theory of Organization. It was concluded that it is necessary to build a different institutional culture in educational research centers, since at present research practices are interrelated with daily praxis, being perceived by the organizers of the research centers and by teachers as an improvement of the formative processes.
