The curricular designs evaluation of the universidad pedagogica experimental libertador and the universidad nacional experimental indígena de Venezuela in care of bilingual intercultural education
Keywords:
Curriculum design, Intercultural bilingual education, Own educationAbstract
The research focused on evaluating the curricular designs of two Venezuelan universities: the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental
Libertador (UPEL) and the Universidad Nacional Experimental Indígena de Venezuela (UNEIV) Undergraduate, in attention to
Intercultural Bilingual Education and own education. The research method used was evaluative within the qualitative approach, supported
in the design of documentary analysis at the descriptive level. The curricular designs of the mentioned Universities were analyzed and,
an instrument called data collection matrix, was used in which all the information related to both designs was deposited, which were
analyzed comparing interculturality and own education. It was concluded that both universities are different because UPEL-IPREM,
although it does offer training in the bilingual intercultural area, is with a Pedagógical purpose and a more general vision: train teachers
in these areas, while UNEIV prepares communities leaders with a strong indigenous presence from an ancestral worldview.
