Abstract

The continuous improvement of teachers has a significant impact on the quality of the formative process of higher education careers. The objective of this work is to design a pedagogical strategy to favor the improvement of teachers from the methodological, didactic and technological point of view for the implementation of the distance learning modality in the Information Sciences career of the University of Moa ¨Dr. Antonio Núñez Jiménez¨. The use of theoretical methods was taken into account, among which stand out the analysis-synthesis, historical-logical, and at the empirical level the documentary review, the survey in the form of a questionnaire and the observation of improvement activities. With the application of the proposed pedagogical strategy, the teachers of the career are incorporated in the different variants of proposed improvement, which allowed them to acquire digital competences. The actions carried out contributed to the preparation of their study guides taking into account the methodological and didactic requirements for their elaboration, planning their subjects and designing them in the interactive platform used by the university. The implementation of this pedagogical strategy allows the management of the permanent improvement process of the teachers, their continuous evaluation and the academic quality and efficiency in the distance learning modality, which results in the excellence of the teaching-learning process.
