Writing and psychomotor development in six-year-olds

The process of acquiring writing in children is associated with a number of factors that favor its execution, among them is the psychomotor component, which would have a significant impact. It is for this reason that the study aims to study the relationship between psychomotor development and writing in children of six years of age. In marked research under a quantitative approach, field design, descriptive and correlative type, cross-sectional and nonexperimental, being its sample established in 80 students. The survey was used as a technique and the Neuromotor Evaluation Test (EVANM) and the Literacy Analysis Test (TALE) were used as an instrument. As a result, it has been established that fifty-three percent (53%) of the children studied have a consolidated level of writing. Conclusion It was possible to determine the presence of a direct and significant relationship between fine psychomotricity and initiation to writing in 6-year-old students of the second grade of basic education
