Abstract

The objective of this research was to propose a training program on ICT competencies for teachers to improve the management of an educational center. Methodologically framed in field research supported by a documentary analysis, non-experimental and observational, the approach was quantitative from an exploratory-descriptive study and its population consisted of 12 teachers of the aforementioned institution. The interview was used as the data collection technique. Among the results obtained, the following can be indicated: Teachers are not trained for the implementation of ICT in educational processes, this is due to the lack of knowledge of teachers about the proper use of programs, virtual classrooms, blog, educational platforms and websites. In the midst of the digital era, educational centers, teachers and students do not have the basic technological tools because, in many cases, there is a lack of economic resources. A training program in ICT competencies is proposed to lessen the effect of the unfavorable aspects.
