The objective of this research was to identify the indicators of family violence that affect the socio-affective development of children between 5 and 6 years of age. It was a quantitative field study based on a literature review. The technique used for data collection was the survey, applying a questionnaire of closed questions with response alternatives of the Lickert scale, as well as the observation script to observe the children's performance during one month of class. The results come from the application of descriptive statistics. The sample is represented by 30 children and 24 parents. As a result, it was verified that family violence is a normalized method of correction, generating insecurity and distrust in the child as a result of the violence experienced at home, which causes the child to have some alterations in their socio-affective behavior patterns in their school environment.
