Abstract

The objective of the study was to characterize the curricular processes and the academic performance of the students of the Enrique López Albújar Educational Institution in Piura-Perú, during the 2017 school year. The methodology used in the research was framed in the positivist paradigm, with a focus quantitative, field research modality, descriptive level. The population and sample was represented by 62 teachers and 281 students. Regarding the data collection technique, direct observation and the survey were used, as instruments the notebook and the questionnaire were used. The analysis technique of the results was descriptive statistics. Among the results, it was determined that curricular planning is a process that presents intermediate levels of efficiency, with weaknesses in aspects of diagnosis and articulation to the curricular project, the participation of the actors and the orientation of the process; in terms of academic performance achieved by students in 47.7% corresponding to the level of achievement called achievement
