Abstract

The world where we live today is filled with the media spectrum resulting from communications and new technologies that impact the events of daily life; Educational institutions do not escape this reality. Education is, above all, the path where human beings, from their individual complexity, manage to integrate their ideas and generate new knowledge. In this sense, the purpose of this essay is to demonstrate the interweaving between education and Social communication from the context of Higher Education in Venezuela, taking care of the structural and social discursive action in teaching communication becomes a critical point. The design used for this construct was documentary, authors such as Foucault (2007) maintain that communication has a predominant role in social relations, since it is capable of producing power effects, under this conception power can be understood as the consequence of the relationships that arise between the subjects, assuming the environment as a conversational fabric. This essay addresses from a comprehensive perspective the social use of information and the teaching communicator role in the educational processes that occur through mediations. In conclusion, it can be stated that in Venezuela university institutions must become a space for exchange. of knowledge supported by communication processes, producing an integration of the institutional actors that make them up, supported by knowledge management.
