Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of an agile and functional organizational structure as a strategy to strengthen management processes and community engagement in an educational institution. Based on a participatory diagnosis, weaknesses were identified in relation to role duplication, lack of interdepartmental coordination, and the absence of formal communication mechanisms. To address these limitations, a proposal for an organizational structure was designed, grounded in principles of agility, flexibility, and interdisciplinary cooperation, aimed at optimizing decision-making and institutional efficiency. The applied methodology combined semi-structured interviews, collaborative workshops, and documentary review, allowing the integration of the perspectives of administrators, teachers, and community representatives in the design process. The results showed that the implementation of an agile structure contributed to reducing administrative management times, improving the distribution of responsibilities, and strengthening the participation of stakeholders in the planning of social projects. Furthermore, an increase in community satisfaction and greater alignment of institutional actions with local demands were observed. It is concluded that the adoption of agile organizational models represents a viable and replicable alternative for institutions seeking to consolidate community engagement and effectively respond to changing and complex environments.
