This documentary research, based on a monographic design, aims to analyze the essential role of early childhood education in the integral development of personality in children aged 3 to 6 years. It begins with the recognition of this stage as a critical and highly sensitive period for establishing the affective, social, and cognitive foundations that shape personal identity. Through an exhaustive and critical review of theoretical sources and specialized studies, the research examines the contributions of early education to the construction of self-esteem, the acquisition of autonomy, the development of emotional self-regulation, and the strengthening of socialization skills. In addition, the study discusses pedagogical and psychological approaches that support the importance of timely and affective educational intervention, highlighting the influence of both family and school environments as co-responsible agents in the formation of character and social adaptation in children. The study concludes that early childhood education, when guided by an integral, inclusive, and humanistic perspective, represents a decisive foundation for the harmonious development of children’s personality, fostering not only cognitive competencies but also positive values, attitudes, and emotions that promote psychosocial well-being and lifelong learning.
