Theoretical approach to the importance of researchin graphic design

Abstract

For instruction in graphic design, it is necessary to take into account the application of a research process applied to it. One of the main challenges proposed by researchers in the area is the use of the scientific method to program and solve graphic communication problems. This boldness forces students to face a unique situation and generate their own design problems. Within this framework of ideas, the study was based on a non-experimental design, also bibliographic and documentary, descriptive and descriptive in nature, using the technique of summarizing and filing as an instrument. Research and documentation centers were visited in search of information and aspects of interest related to the subject. We conclude: research is fundamental to be able to build the knowledge that, together with the theoretical concepts, guide the project development of the graphic application.
